|Last Halloween - Tommy the Gnome|
Halloween has so many potential opportunities for blind/visually impaired kids to participate in. You can have them help create the costumes if they are old enough. Most costumes have some textural elements that can be really fun. And I always think homemade costumes are so much better than store bought. I cannot sew but I don't let that stop me. The gnome costume was made of felt pieces I glued together. It was cheap and easy. There is so much room for imagination when it comes to Halloween!
Thomas has light perception so I am excited to see what he thinks of lit pumpkins this year. And I can't wait to see his face when he touches the insides of the pumpkins when we are carving them. That should be priceless!
As for this year's costume...you will have to wait and see.
