Winter Break Activities
- Cookie baking
- Making scented play dough (peppermint)
- Making cinnamon/applesauce ornaments
- Playing in the snow (if we ever get any!)
- Making hot chocolate with marshallows. Tom loves marshmallows
- Making a christmas shirt - stamping or other ideas
- Working on the Christmas/Santa concept - I'm trying hard to make this holiday real for him. Maybe we could put out carrots for the reindeer?
- Visiting Santa at the mall
- Go to hear Christmas music
- Donate some of his old toys and talk about the important of giving and sharing.

Gingerbread house can build great concepts because it's 3D. Wrapping presents is challenging/fun and presents many wonderful learning opportunities. Maybe Tom can help you label all of the presents with Braille tags so that he can be santa's elf and hand out the presents when it's time.
ReplyDeleteGood idea! Maybe I can buy a little gingerbread house kit so we can give it a try.
DeleteWe always do braille labels for gifts and I hand them out to the grandparents too. I am working on a post about present wrapping that will be up very soon.
It is a great year to be an elf!
Wow, I want to join in all the holiday fun at Tom's house!
