Little Hero Photography

Tom has always been my little hero. Today you can find him on the Patricia June Photography blog, as Tricia's newest Little Hero. She profiles local children on her blog who have had a difficult time, medically or emotionally, and does a free portrait session at her photography studio.

Tom is extremely hard to photograph because he doesn't keep his head up high like most people. And he's very quick! A sighted child will turn to the camera and make eye contact, but it's not that easy with a blind child.

It was nice to have the photo shoot in a small studio without noise or distractions. It made it easier for Tommy and a much more enjoyable experience for everyone. No one was breathing down our neck as they waited for their turn, or wailing in the background.
