Good News!

Tom's eye pressure is in the correct range! We don't have to go back for another EUA for 3 months!!!

Finally. This is the news we have been waiting to hear for the past 6 EUA's. Instead of the nursing staff saying, "We just saw you last week, Thomas," they can say, "Thomas, you have gotten so big!"

I have been at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh about four times a month for the past several months. Just last month I think we hit all his specialists. We had Tom's g-tube measured to ensure it is the correct size and got his mic-key button changed.

He also recently saw the pediatrician who over sees his care at the Diagnostic Referral Clinic and she was very happy with his progress. We don't have to see his own pediatrician until he turns two in the fall. It would be so wonderful if we didn't have to see a doctor for 3 whole months! That would be a record for us.

Frankly, Thomas needs to detox from all the doctors visits he has had lately. He gets so upset when any doctor or nurse touches him or tries to get his vitals. He just needs a break.

Now we just need him to stay healthy and keep those contacts in so we can avoid any extra visits.

The summer is looking sunnier already!
