Funded!

Tom is getting a SMART Brailler for his birthday because wonderful family, friends and blog readers came together to donate funds. I can't believe it happened so fast. I set up the Go Fund Me page on my lunch break and Tommy was fully funded before I went to bed that night. I know it is fashionable to say the world is going down the tubes, but there are still lots of good people out there!

Tom's teacher at WPSBC is excited to work with Tommy and the SMART Brailler. I am going to meet with her soon to talk about the plan for getting Tom ready to jump into Braille. Last year was more of a pre-Braille stage but this year he will be learning letters.

Thanks to everyone who voted in the Backpacking SMART Brailler contest, and everyone who donated to fund Tommy's SMART Brailler. I think this will be huge for Tommy!
